Red Maple in Toluca Lake has that classic old school cafe feel with warm wood tones simple decor and a cozy neighborhood vibe that feels timeless. The space is inviting without trying too hard and it works perfectly for a solid breakfast. Service from Anna and Rachel was outstanding. They were quick friendly and kept everything running smoothly from the moment we sat down. Felt like genuine hospitality rather than rushed table turns. We ordered the brisket and egg burritos French toast and a flavored latte with oat milk. The food overall hit the mark and the coffee was solid. The only small note is the brisket burrito could use a bit more meat. It still tasted good but felt a little light on the filling for the price. Everything else was on point and the portions elsewhere were fair. Would happily come back. Great spot with strong service and a comfortable old school atmosphere that makes it easy to linger. Highly recommend for anyone in the Toluca Lake area looking for a reliable cafe experience.

Red Maple was such a pleasant surprise. As a Yelp Elite, I’m always excited to discover new spots, and this one absolutely delivered. A recommendation brought me here, and now I completely understand why they’re ranked #48 on Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in LA. I tried the Vegan Egg & Cheese Breakfast Burrito with chorizo and loved that they also offer tofu, Beyond, vegan chick’n, and vegan steak options. I also tried the tofu skillet loaded with veggies, quinoa, black beans, corn tortillas, salsa, and a side salad. Nothing about the vegan menu felt like an afterthought. A special thank you to Brian for hosting me and to Delmy for being such a friendly, kind, and sweet waitress. The hospitality made the experience even better. The breakfast menu is available daily from 8 AM to 4 PM, which is another huge plus. I’ll definitely be back.
