I just wanted to mention that I just called 30 minutes ago. An Asian lady answer. I asked her to Spanish speaker. She asked me back a little bit of English and I answer back I can try. I explained to her that I was looking for help or any type of advice to proceed with a spousal support or since I have a 27-year-old disabled daughter if we can try to see if I can get help for my disabled daughter. I mentioned a little bit of both she asked me to go back to my final judgment, divorce paper She asked me a bunch of questions that I don’t understand and just to Finalize this, she left me in blank. I didn’t understand her. She didn’t understand me and she never tried to transfer me to a Spanish speaker. Instead, she told me I didn’t have no rights because for her the papers Stipulated that.. And then she gave me attitude, Asking me what do you want me to do for you? We don’t give legal advice. I explained to her that was the reason I was calling because yesterday I went to Long beach Court and they gave me this number and the lady was pretty much 100% shirt I was gonna be help here she even sell it possibly yoa have a case.. The The customer service representative legally foundation ask me with the attitude. What do you want me to do for your disabled daughter if she’s already an adult ? that was her answers to me.. I thought I was gonna be help here instead I was left with many questions confuse and morally down because she made me feel bad because I was asking this questions I don’t think she was a really nice customer service helper she shouldn’t be helping without knowing she didn’t even ask me liked fax me the papers she just gave me her personal opinion why I was asking for help if my daughter was already an adult what type of help center is this? I also mentioned to her that I was a customer because I’ve been health here in LEGAL AIDE FOUNDATION LOS ANGELES and it was like nothing for her. She left me in blank. I felt she was rude to me and she was judging me instead of helping me she didn’t even give her name and at the end when she saw that we were not communicating 100% instead of asking me you know what let me have your name and your number I’m gonna say tell another person to speak Spanish to help her. She just left me like that and like I said, I felt more like she was judging me instead of helping me…

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I requested a callback because the representatives were assisting many callers at the time. When I finally received a return call, the staff member who spoke with me was not friendly or professional when addressing my concern. I was simply trying to clarify my question, but she became impatient and even raised her voice at me. I understand that legal aid organizations are often busy and handle a large volume of cases, but that does not justify treating callers disrespectfully. People reach out for legal assistance because they need guidance and support, and they deserve to be treated with patience and courtesy. The interaction left me feeling dismissed and uncomfortable rather than helped. Customer service and professionalism are important, especially when working with vulnerable individuals seeking legal assistance. I hope the organization provides additional training on communication and client relations to ensure others do not have a similar experience.

As a mature person , I still believe presentation is everything . I’m not comfortable sitting with a legal aid person and an attorney both wearing masks ( Jan. 2026) in a first time meeting . I don’t know who the heck I’m dealing with. It was very offensive . Also “ the young lawyer “ was dressed in a old black t Shirt and unkept black jeans . He looked like he had just rolled out of bed after a late night partying ! It just did not feel right , the whole thing . Then it was all the questions, review of info for the 3 rd time . Why can’t they access your info from the other legal aid agencies you are working with. They are pretty much all connected in some way . They refer clients between agencies. .Its all in the computer already your details . They saw they are looking for errors already checked for twice before by legal aid persons and confirmed in order .. The meeting seem horribly repetitive and a waste of time and annoying to have to go through the exact process you have been through twice previously . I truly am very appreciative of a service like LAFLA AND EDN and others , but my LAFLA contacts were not understanding or accommodating at all . If have to jump when they saw jump or they send you a letter saying they have closed your case file and they assume you don’t want help . Its offensive . The people I spoke with were unreasonably demanding of my IMMEDIATE time considering the current status of my eviction case . I tried to explain other court cases and legal matters against my plaintiff that I was also currently involved with , and a legal timeline I was already dedicated too . The LAFLA people were harsh and unaccepting about the priorities of my individual circumstances. The personal disheveled look of the actual Attorney and wearing of black N95 masks was really uncomfortable. Sorry to say . It ate away at my confidence about LAFLA staff . Sorry to say .
