The Perfect Parrot

We bought Leo, a Black-headed White-bellied Caique, from a pet store on June 10, 2024. He was already an adult male, seven years old at the time, and he spent two happy years with us. We had experience with parrots before, but Caiques are completely different from any other birds. In the beginning, it was difficult for us. Leo would bite and definitely had a strong personality. But eventually, we found our way to each other, and we fell deeply in love with him. He became a part of our family. The store told us that Leo preferred women over men, and that turned out to be absolutely true. He became incredibly attached to me. I literally couldn’t walk away from him without him immediately flying after me. Losing him is an enormous loss for us and a grief that cannot be replaced. We are deeply grateful to the store for bringing Leo into our lives and giving us the chance to have him as a part of our family.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! I bought a amazing hand raised baby bird from them February 12th 2025, and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful Getting me all set up with everything that I needed to house ( cage, fed, toys, treats, etc) my new family member! They have a program in place for monthly check ups on my bird including bathing and nail/beak treatments All around Awesome!

Wonderful experience at this bird store. The staff are incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely care about the birds. They took their time explaining everything in detail, answered all my questions, and never rushed me. You can tell they’re passionate and knowledgeable, and the birds are well cared for. It’s rare to find a place where people are this helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn more or find the right bird with confidence.
